Packing Unit

At Eximsea Stone Exports, packaging is more than the final step—it’s an essential part of our quality process. We carefully pack every stone to protect its surface, edges, and structural integrity throughout handling and long-distance transit.

From strong export-grade crates to secure loading, every detail is planned to ensure your natural stone arrives safe, intact, and ready for its next destination.

1. Crate Setup

Export-grade wooden crates are fabricated using reinforced, seaworthy timber, designed to withstand handling stress, stacking loads, and long-distance transit.

Crate dimensions and internal layout are determined based on stone type, thickness, and packing orientation.

2. Crate Preparation for Stone Packing

Before material placement, crates are internally prepared using polythene liners and industrial-grade cushioning materials.

• Protects edges and surfaces

• Absorbs vibration during movement

• Prevents abrasion between stone units

Preparation standards are adjusted depending on stone finish, thickness, and sensitivity.

3. Placing the natural stone products in the crate

Now, the natural stone tiles are systematically put in the crate to ensure the maximum utilization of the available space.

4. Securing & Filling the Crate

Once the placement pattern is finalised, the crate is filled tightly and secured to eliminate voids. Interleaving sheets, spacers, and cushioning materials are used to:

• Lock units in position

• Prevent vibration-induced damage

• Maintain alignment throughout transit

The objective is zero movement from origin to destination.

5. Securing the crate

After the crate is filled, the next thing is to secure the packed products by putting a foam sheet and polythene sheet on top of the crate. This helps in avoiding any kind of accidental damage during transit. Also, the crates are chemically treated and fumigated before dispatch.

6. Sealing the crate

Eventually, the crate is sealed by fixing the upper part using nails. Another layer of polythene sheet is used from the outside to prevent exposure to the sun, water, and cold. Packaging straps are used to secure the crate from all sides.
